With a small speaker, where you carry it matters as much as specifications. Consider Go 4 for a bag or table, and Clip 5 when you want an integrated carabiner. Start with your route and time away from a socket.

Choose an attachment for your routine
Check that Clip 5’s carabiner fits the intended strap and does not obstruct movement. Do not use it to secure a person or load. Go 4’s loop serves a simpler carrying role; it does not imply a separate carabiner is included.
On a table, stability matters; on a backpack, access to controls matters. Try the position before leaving so the speaker does not knock against hard objects or obstruct your view.
Five extra hours in the claimed normal mode
Normal maximums are 7 and 12 hours. Playtime Boost raises the claims to 9 and 15. Compare equivalent modes. A real outing at high volume may drain the battery sooner.

When to consider a larger speaker
If phone charging or larger gatherings matter, compare Charge. For a light everyday bag, do not buy a larger cabinet just for its numbers. Specifications cannot tell you whether you enjoy the sound: compare familiar music at similarly comfortable volumes.
Frequently asked questions
Can Go 4 and Clip 5 play together?
Yes, in a compatible Auracast group. Choose two matching models for stereo.
Do they replace a large party speaker?
Do not choose a small model on that assumption. Consider listener distance and ambient noise.
