The Tuner 3 earns its place in a kitchen even if you have a good smartphone. A broadcast station needs neither internet access nor a phone. Start a preset station with one button in the morning, then switch to Bluetooth to resume a podcast where you left off.
First FM scan in Chișinău or Bălți
Extend the aerial, select FM with the DAB/FM button and press SCAN. For a manual check, Radio Chișinău lists 89.6 MHz in Chișinău and 98.8 MHz in Bălți. Other towns can use different frequencies. If reception is noisy, move the set towards a window and adjust the aerial.
Saving a station
Tune to the station and hold one of the six preset buttons for more than two seconds until the display confirms the save. A short press now recalls it. If you also listen at a weekend house, save the local frequency on a different button so your home preset stays useful.
When to use DAB or Bluetooth
For DAB/DAB+, select digital mode and run a separate scan. Reception depends on an active transmitter serving your address. If one particular digital station matters, check reception there before buying. For internet radio, open the station’s app on your phone and send audio over Bluetooth. Streaming uses the phone’s internet connection, while downloaded tracks can play offline.
